- Review and process prescription orders, verifying information for accuracy and completeness.
- Counsel patients on medication therapies, including proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Monitor patient profiles for medication compliance and therapeutic outcomes, making necessary recommendations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop optimal medication plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Ensure the pharmacy adheres to all federal and state regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with pharmaceutical advancements and best practices.
- Provide immunizations and other health services as permitted by law.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining pharmaceutical supplies.
- Review and update pharmacy policies and procedures as needed to enhance patient safety and service quality.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
- Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Previous pharmacy experience (retail, hospital, or clinical) preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge of medications, disease states, and therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
